When She’s Bad
By Leanne Banks
-pgs: 288
Another great tale of romance and intrigue. In this story, the main character Delilah Montague has to come to terms with her painful past to see the bright future she could have in her life. Also, Montague has to deal with a man who is blackmailing her, a loud neighbor who makes all his noise at night, a baby that someone left with her, a hectic business and her mentor’s daughter who is convinced that she is no good. To sum up, Delilah’s life is very hectic. This book is an excellent read when you think in terms of popular fiction. It flows well and the conflict keeps you involved until the end. I did find some parts to be reminiscent of previous works I have read like the abandoned baby is very similar to the plot line in Janet Evanovich’s Thanksgiving. This was equally amusing to me because on the last two stories I have read by Banks Evanovich is quoted. However, this is a forgivable “borrowing” that Banks does. In conclusion, if you are interested in some fun fiction with a strong female character, this is the book to choose.
