Thanksgiving

By Janet Evanovich

-pgs: 228

This comedic tale is set in Colonial Williamsburg in Northern Virginia. In this tale, a new doctor finds himself accidentally involved with a red-haired stubborn woman as they are thrown together to care for a child that has been left by his mother. The circumstances behind the baby’s mother leaving the child are very suspicious and the couples agree to split the care of the child between the two of them. As they care for the child, they began to recognize they have feelings for each other. When both of their families arrive in Williamsburg for Thanksgiving, the hilarity increases with normal family bloopers. Before they know, their mothers have planned their wedding and they seemed to be fated for the altar. Evanovich creates very dynamic three-dimensional characters in this tale that is very amusing and worthwhile read. My only complaint is that the story should have been extended longer; the conclusion seems a little premature and as a reader you can imagine what the characters would do next and it is almost side that “the next” is not there for you to read. An easy enjoyable light read!!
