Shopaholic Takes Manhattan
By Sophie Kinsella
-pgs: 325
Another well-written Becky Bloomwood escapade. The story immediately continues where it left off in the first tale and Becky is dating Luke, working for the TV Station and climbing her way back into debt with her shopping problems. Becky accompanies Luck to New York on business and discovers the amazing shopping opportunities in America. In particular, she learns of sample sales and goes a little over the top when she shops in her normal Becky style. However, in this story, her debt is not her only problem and the relationship she has built with Luke is jeopardized. Her situation is very difficult and one wonders if she will be able to get out of it. All the important characters from the first story are in this tale and it is full of the humor that was seen in the initial story. A great enjoyable read that keeps your interest with its suspense and like the previous tales it still includes notes from her bank, etc. If you love chic literature and you have not read this series, you are really missing out!!
