The story of a mental institution that is thrown into an upheaval when Mc Murphy a person who has come for observation begins showing the inhabitants how to have fun. He rages a full on war against the Big Nurse and her dictatorship. He even sneaks them out of the institution for a joy ride. The tale climaxes in a final standoff between the Big Nurse and Mc Murphy. However, Mc Murphy’s spirit and energy releases one of the inhabitants and reminds him of how to live again.
