By Dave Pelzer

-pgs: 338

The sequel to the gruesome story A Child Called It. This is what happens to David from twelve to eighteen after he is removed from his mother’s home and placed in foster care. It gives an eye wrenching account of his trials, experiences, heart aches and glories. In addition, he does a good job of showing the foster care system from an insider point of view and from a child’s eyes. I found the story to be very inspirational and very reassuring. After reading the first story, I was tortured by grotesque images and it makes me feel much better to be at the end of this sequel. David was able to rise above all of this and move on.
