An interesting tale and a good example of popular fiction. In the story, “Nanny” begins working for a new family the X’s as a nanny for their son Grayer. The story is supposed to be a good example of an average New York family that needs a family. Throughout the story, one sees numerous problems with the family: mother and father are not concerned with their child except for unrealistic social or material reasons. The narrator Nanny seems to have a bit of her own agenda in the story. In addition, the story jumps around and includes events or people not explained. This is a sad tale that probably accurately represents someone’s lifestyle and should remind us of what we hold dear.
