It was nice to read a tale of horror, violence, death and redemption. I found the tale to be very suspenseful (can you really expect less from Stephen King). Although it is a long book, it is an easy read and the story pulls you through the pages. I felt King did a good job of leaving a mystery throughout the story so you kept reading it hoping to find an answer to what was going on. Even if one mystery was solved, more questions or mysteries would come out of the solved mystery and that kept you reading. King did a wonderful job developing characters and explaining their pasts as well as maintaining the story in the present. The supernatural part of the story was well thought out and very unique. Overall, I felt it was a well written tale and would be an enjoyable read to anyone who likes horror stories.

A gripping tale that follows the fateful car accident that changes the life of Johnny Smith into a modern day super hero fighting the evils of the world. The story follows Johnny’s life prior to the accident and then during the years he spent in a coma to his discovery of his power and his ability to use that power to help individuals and the world. A book that is fast paced and intriguing. The plot keeps you involved and curious about where it plans to go next. I is now a television show on USA that has been modified and is running off of this premise. However, I find the book to be substantial better and a must read for all.

This book reminds me of pain. Particularly, the pain the main character experienced because of the way she was treated by her classmates and by her mother (the one person responsible for showing her love). Her actions at the end almost seem justified because of the way she was treated. An imaginative tale of a high school girl who is sheltered from the world by a controlling, religious zealot mother who convinces the young girl that she is the devil. These circumstances make the girl socially inept and the brunt of all her classmates’ jokes. However, her secret power is unleashed and all those who hurt her pay and pay dearly.
