I found this book to be very tiresome. It went on and on and on. The author did a great job with the detail of the book and developing the characters but I still though that it was a little excessive. The setting is unique because it is a detective story from Israel so the author does spend a lot of time establishing the culture, customs and religion of the area. In addition, you have present in this story the strained relationship between the Muslims and the Israelites. The premise of this mystery is that a body had been discovered that had been dissected in a remote part of Israel. The detective is attempting to chase down the killer before another body appears. Interesting story but be ready to put in an enormous amount of time reading it.

An interesting murder / kidnapping mystery that is centered on the psychologist’s Alex Delaware’s involvement with the police department. In the story, Alex attempts to solve the disappearance of one of his old clients from his days of private practice. Unfortunately, everyone he tries to talk to about her disappearance ends up disappearing or dying. In addition, he no longer has one mystery surrounding this disappearance but multiple. Luckily, in the end, he solves them all. However, I felt that the plot of the story was easy to figure out and not very suspenseful. I felt that the plot was telecasted throughout the novel.
