By Agatha Christie

-pgs: 244

Starring Tommy and Tuppence the lesser known of Agatha Christie’s detectives. The story takes place when the pair are much older and began to realize the capacities of their ages. The mystery begins in a nursing home with an old mysterious woman. Tuppence is hot on the trail and Tommy if lagging behind after his wife. However, this story maintains the elements of a true Christie novel (providing a lot of material that the reader has to attempt to sift through before the great reveal). It is very well written and full of the slight comedic fun always present in Christie novels. I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys mysteries. It is an easy read but an enjoyable one.

By Agatha Christie (ghost writer)

-pgs: 210

This is an Agatha Christie play that has been made into a novel. Therefore, it is ghost written by another person Charles Osbourne. Unfortunately, the book does not read like an Agatha Christie novel. In addition, the characters are not well developed and for this reason their actions at times seem very contrived or almost forced. It is like everything is developed fast (without anytime for breath) and is over in a blink of any eye. Another problem I have with this story is the use of the word bitch – something that Agatha Christie would never have said. It surprised me! This story does have an Agatha Christie ending which makes the short read worthwhile and causes some pondering for the reader.

By Agatha Christie

-pgs: 248

An engaging collection of Agatha Christie stories that span her famous detectives from Hercule Poirot to Jane Marple to Harley Quin to Mr. Parker Pyne to Tommy and Tuppence and to Inspector Evans. These stories are very interesting with surprise endings that will keep you guessing. The situations in these stories range from everyday problems to more extreme like murder. This is an enjoyable read that is not to difficult but does involve some thought. However, it is worth your time to read this short collection.
