This book reminds me of pain. Particularly, the pain the main character experienced because of the way she was treated by her classmates and by her mother (the one person responsible for showing her love). Her actions at the end almost seem justified because of the way she was treated. An imaginative tale of a high school girl who is sheltered from the world by a controlling, religious zealot mother who convinces the young girl that she is the devil. These circumstances make the girl socially inept and the brunt of all her classmates’ jokes. However, her secret power is unleashed and all those who hurt her pay and pay dearly.
