A Tale of Two Cities

By Charles Dickens

-pgs: 482

I am sad to admit that I have only read one Dickens novel prior to his novel. However, I have been very impressed with his writing style and I quite understand why he is a classic author. Dickens has his one line that he repeats over and over in this novel and that is “Recalled to life.” This is a theme for the whole novel. I would consider this novel to be historical fiction. It really ties in the emotion of the revolution in France and he captures the Jacobean thought as well as explaining how is influenced and affected everyone from Paris to France. Truly memorable characters with a wonderful message.
