I am sad to admit that I have only read one Dickens novel prior to his novel. However, I have been very impressed with his writing style and I quite understand why he is a classic author. Dickens has his one line that he repeats over and over in this novel and that is “Recalled to life.” This is a theme for the whole novel. I would consider this novel to be historical fiction.
